St. Augustine, FL

This past Thanksgiving I spent a couple days in St. Augustine. It was my first time in the city, and I was blown away! Such a beautiful place, full of so much history. I only had 1 full day there, and, of course, it rained the entire day! Nonetheless, I did manage to get some shots that I'm a big fan of. In this first post are images from the Castillo de San Marcos. Enjoy!

Follow the . Brick Road

There is something about this photo that I thoroughly enjoy:

Sunsets and Memories

I'm going to be heading back to FL in a few weeks, which I'm looking forward to. I was looking at my photos from my trip last November, and wanted to share this photo. This photo reminds me of how much I miss living there. I hope you enjoy as much as I do!

Minnesota

I was in Minnesota this past weekend for an Equine Photography workshop. I stole away here and there to take some "other" photos. Here's my favorites. Enjoy!

Numero Dos

So, my other project.....I've always had an interest in cemeteries. My interest lies in seeing the old, old tombstones, reading them, seeing how they've aged over time. My favorite are the small country cemeteries you come upon after miles of cornfields. It's been a long time since I've visited a cemetery with my camera. A couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity to return to one of my favorite pastimes-grabbing the camera, rolling down the windows, music up, and just driving. In doing so the light in this one particular cemetery struck me, so I stopped. So evolved a project I've found an interest in.....enjoy!

Ok, so these next two I love, and I'm having the hardest time choosing which one I like better, so I'm going to put up both. Let me know which one you prefer!! Thanks!

Numero Uno

Well, I'm working on a few projects, and there's no clear cut lines drawn as to what the projects are. They'll be fluid and organic, moving in the direction they go. So, that being said, I don't exactly have a "name" for each of these projects. Since this is coming first, the photos that I'm loosely photographing for this project will be referred to as "Numero Uno." Self-explanatory. :) Enjoy!

Light Bulb

Well, I had an AHA! moment today! I've been working on getting my pet photography off the ground and going, so I had thought, for some reason, that I could only keep up that blog. But then, I take photos other than just of animals! So I posted a few on that blog, but for some reason it just didn't "feel" right, seeing as that is my "business" blog.

The AHA! moment was when I realized, "Wait! I don't have to choose! I can do both if I feel like it!" And so, there it is. I am back. It'll take a few days to get some photos up, but I have a few in mind, as well as another project I'm working on. Stay Tuned!

Spider Monkey

Spider Monkey is from NOLA(New Orleans). She was found as a stray kitten after Katrina, and by found, I mean that she found her transportation to her new home by walking in an open apartment door and never leaving! She had an interesting first year of life between that apartment, a car ride up to Chicago, living on a porch, a basement, and a short stint in a barn(the other cats hated her) before she found her final home. She's a crazy lovable cat who lives up to her name in every way, shape and form!

Zeke

A couple months ago my cousin had a litte baby boy, nicknamed Zeke. He is the most adorable little guy!!! I love baby feet, they're so small and cute, and to me, represent possibility. That being said, I wanted to share this photo with you.

A Little Bit O' Nature!

Glacial Park in McHenry County is one of my favorite parks! I've been going there since I was in high school, and I would spend the whole day there hiking, running down the HUGE hill, wading in the Nippersink, great times! Here's a photo from a day I spent there about a month and a half ago. Enjoy!

My Coconutter!

I wanted to share some photos of my girl Coconut. She's a crazy little canine with a heart of gold!! Enjoy!

These last 3 photos may not be everybody's cup O'tea but I'm a fan. The first one especially I love, but I also really like the other 2, so I thought I'd share those as well!! :)

(I just love the nose licking!!)
